Random Ramsdom: Andrew Whitworth thinks Aaron Donald returning
INGLEWOOD, CA - FEBRUARY 13: Los Angeles Rams' Andrew Whitworth (77), Matthew Stafford (9), Aaron Donald, and am Akers (23) celebrate after beating the Cincinnati Bengals at Super Bowl LVI at SoFi Stadium on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2022 in in Inglewood, CA. (K.C. Alfred/ The San Diego Union-Tribune via Getty Images)The possibility of Aaron Donald coming out of retirement to join the Los Angeles Rams is perhaps the biggest storyline around the NFL. Andrew Whitworth added fuel to the fire as he seems to expect Donald will be rejoining the Rams at some point. Whether its Sean McVay, Whitworth, Donald himself, no one is saying its not going to happen. At this point, people are mostly and moreso saying that Donald is more likely to come back than not. That can change, and Donald may not come back, but its being set up that hes expected to return. For now. If that is truly announced, that will be major news. Until then, its speculation, and its still news as is.Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great Tuesday! NFL season is getting closer. Andrew Whitworth thinks Aaron Donald is really close to being back (ramswire)A lot of people think about the games and stuff, but its really putting your body through the impacts and the down in and down out of running into other big, strong humans all the time, he said. Your tissue doesnt just walk around ready for that. Youve got to prepare, and so I think some of this was him, Hey, is the passion still there? Do I still have that ability to be sore as crap and every day wanting to go chase it. And I think for him, that kind of meant for the last month, month and a half, really training like a football player and doing some of the drills, some of the things he used to do day in and day out and seeing where hes at physically. And thats some of the stuff we talked about. I asked him where hes at. Is he still training? Does he still think he wants to do it? I think theres still a definite curiosity to do it. I think hes super fired up about trying to see if its there, but I think it takes time to find out, is the drive still there?Rams Davis Allen injury update silences questions before they start (fansided)Los Angeles Rams tight end Davis Allen will miss time during training camp with a quad injury, said head coach Sean McVay on Monday, without providing any concrete estimate for a return.Forgive Rams fans, including this one, for immediately wondering what this could mean for Allens potential roster status as Terrance Ferguson and rookie Max Klare continue to impress in practice in a tight-end room that already features Colby Parkinson and Tyler Higbee.Random Ramsdom Fandom:My delusional idea is that Ferguson will be the de facto WR3 in the offense. 5-8 targets per game and plenty of end zone shots. He would be the 2nd TE Ill pick up and have a couple of months to see if Im right. The idea comes from the Rams running even more heavy sets this year and if he and Stafford had hit on those throws where he was wide open, hed be everyones breakout player this year. -delusionalramfanslosteve
