Former Patriots star Matthew Slater joins BC High football team coaching staff
A former star with the New England Patriots is joining the Boston College High School football teams coaching staff.Matthew Slater, a longtime Patriots special teams standout, All-Pro, Super Bowl champion, and team captain, will serve as Assistant Head Coach for Leadership and Player Development.It is a privilege to work alongside a school so deeply committed to developing young men of character, said Slater. Football is one of the greatest classrooms for teaching lifes most important lessons.During his 16-year career with the Patriots, Slater earned 10 Pro Bowl selections, All-Pro honors five times (two first-team), and won three Super Bowls.He served as the teams captain for 13 seasons before retiring in 2024.
