Former Oklahoma Sooners running back Taylor Tatum spent two seasons at OU before transferring to Michigan this offseason. However, according to multiple reports, Tatum has left the Wolverines, and he's no longer on the Michigan football team.Hailing from Longview (Texas) High School, Tatum was the No. 1 running back in the recruiting class of 2024, and a major recruiting win for the Sooners. He was a part of the running back rotation as a true freshman, but he fell out of the mix due to ball security issues and the emergence of Xavier Robinson. In 2025, Tatum battled injuries and barely played, registering just one carry.With the Wolverines, Tatum had switched positions to defensive back and was competing for reps in the safety room at Michigan. Now, he's left the team, with the reason still unknown.WR C.J. Oklahoma was set to face off against Tatum in Ann Arbor in Week 2, but he'll now leave the program having never suited up for Michigan.During his time in Norman, the 5-foot-10, 212-pounder ran 57 times for 277 yards and three touchdowns, also catching five passes for 41 yards and a score.
