WashingtonMavericks would receive: Jarred Vanderbilt, Jaden Hardy, Jake LaRavia, DaltonKnecht, Cameron Carr, and a 2032 first-round pick swap.Its no secret that the Lakers have been trying to offload Vanderbilts contract since the start of the offseason in a sign-and-trade deal for Jonathan Kuminga. With talks no longer progressing with the Atlanta Hawks, the Lakers have reportedly turned their attention to Washington, who played a key role in helping the Luka Doncic-led Mavericks reach the 2024 NBA FinalsAs for Thompson, the Los Angeles native has been rumored to join the Lakers for several years, dating back to his free-agency decision in 2024 when he chose the Mavericks to play alongside Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, Sai Mohan wrote.This type of trade would be an absolute steal for the Lakers, even if Thompson isn't what he once was.
