However, there havent been any concrete updates on any progress made from the two sides.On Wednesday, Lions general manager Brad Holmes offered some brief thoughts on the situation while doing a radio show on SiriusXM with Pat Kirwan and Jacob Hester.Look, obviously we love Jahmry, Holmes said. Me and Dan (Campbell) have always been believers in that one-two punch. I just think thats how this league is going now. But, you know, were having dialogue. Well see where it goes.Kirwan then offers a reassuring, Itll get there. To which Holmes replies, Thats the hope. But its also in Holmes best interest to not say anything that could impact negotiations. So I wouldnt read too much into this. Still, combine this short clip with Campbells earlier comments that he was surprised a deal hadnt been done by now, and this saga is certainly drawing out longer than most anticipated. Hopefully this entire situation will be in the rear-view mirror soon.
