Browns eligibility status for the 2026 season is still to be determined. The Columbus Dispatch also Wednesday confirmed Browns transfer to Wayne with Big Walnut officials.Jamier Brown is practicing at Wayne High School.Brown, a 5-star football recruit committed to Ohio State, suited up for the Warriors on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at Waynes Heidkamp Stadium in Huber Heights.The rising senior transferred to Big Walnut near Columbus in January 2026 to be closer to OSUs campus as he neared the end of his high school career. He won three individual state championships competing for Big Walnuts track team in June.He received an exception from the Ohio High School Athletic Association in order to compete at its state track and field championships. A July report by the Columbus Dispatch indicated Brown would need to re-apply for the same exception in order to participate in a full football season at Big Walnut.Its unclear if Brown is eligible to play this fall. The Dayton Daily News has reached out to the OHSAA for an update on Browns status.He lists himself as a Wayne High School athlete on both his X and Linktree pages.Brown was at the forefront of a lawsuit filed against the OHSAA during his time at Wayne which led to the approval of a name, image and likeness policy in Ohio.Brown finished second in the Greater Western Ohio Conference with 1,009 receiving yards last fall.
