The Athletics transfer insider said he does not expect the move to happen, as Newcastle look to hold on to a leading asset. The Magpies have endured a summer of upheaval with head coach Eddie Howe stepping down, and both Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali leaving St James Park. Club captain Bruno Guimaraes is also nearing a 75m transfer to Arsenal.As a result, Ornstein expects Newcastle to retain Hall, with no financial pressure to sell. He said he expects Newcastle to try and tie the 21-year-old down to a new long-term deal.
