Damani Leech says Broncos amazing new facility is distinctly Colorado
The Denver Broncos' new facility was built with the idea of bringing the entire organization under one roof. Broncos president Damani Leech believes the team has accomplished its goal. While addressing media members last Saturday, Leech spoke about the project at length."This building is just Its amazing," Leech said. "Its amazing; every day I walk the building, I see different parts for the first time post-construction, and I think its amazing. Its a testament to ownership, to Greg and Carrie (Penner), the investment theyve made into football. Football first, but also our business to bring nearly 100 business staff into the building to create culture, to design a building with football in mind. The spaces are really well thought of. Very intentional layout. The player path of travel was really, really important. I love coming to work every day, and I think everybody else does too.The first floor is specifically tailored for the players, second floor is for football operations, and the top level is the business side of the franchise. "I think people walk the building and they feel like they understand that this is the Denver Broncos training facility. Were here in Colorado, a lot of the natural wood. I love on the third floor, which well see, the elevated ceilings, the mass timber is a great place for me to come and work every day. I was begging for the golf simulator and I got it, so theres really nothing that we didnt get."Finally, Leech said the bigger locker room will be a huge benefit for the players within the building. "When we set out to design this facility, again, it was with football in mind as our sort of primary user, primary customer," Leech said. "We got feedback from players, from coaches, from staff about all the different spaces they work in and are really proud about the locker room now. I think its four to five times bigger than the previous locker room. The lockers themselves are amazing. Its a great office for the players to get to come to every day. Its a really special place with a centralized sort of living room area for them to gather and spend time. I think its a great locker room. "I said this yesterday in our first team meeting: dont ever lose track of the facility and whos in the facility," Payton said last week. "Whos in the facility is the most important thing. There have been a ton of teams in fancy new gigs that havent been to the postseason in quite a while. Lets not lose track of whats in the facility."The Broncos continue training camp on Thursday, ramping up to their first preseason game on Aug. 14.Social: FollowBroncos WireonFacebookandTwitter/X!Did you know:These 25 celebrities are Broncos fans. This article originally appeared on Broncos Wire: Damani Leech says Broncos amazing new facility is distinctly Colorado
