As the training camp grind continues, several Denver Broncos players have stood out. The Broncos are entering Day 7 of full-speed practice on Friday, with seven more training camp practices on deck this month. They'll have a scrimmage-like practice on Saturday, followed by their preseason opener next week. Denver has three total preseason games on deck in August before the deadline to submit a 53-man roster later this month.With position battles heating up and live-game action right around the corner, we're taking a quick look at six standouts through the first week of training camp, with a mix of big names and under-the-radar sleepers. 6 standouts at Broncos training camp 1. WR Jaylen Waddle: The veteran receiver is currently dinged up with some muscle tightness, but he's expected to be fine. He instantly turned heads as soon as camp started and has drawn praise from coaches and teammates. Denver coach Sean Payton has even hinted fans should draft Waddle in their fantasy football leagues. Waddle could be headed for a big year with his new club. 2. DE Eyioma Uwazurike: Following the departure of John Franklin-Myers during NFL free agency, Uwazurike has an opportunity to compete for a starting job this summer, and he's taking advantage of it. "He can't be blocked," defensive lineman D.J. Jones said of Uwazurike earlier this week. "He's a man, he's a grown man." Uwazurike will be a key player to watch during preseason. 3. WR Pat Bryant: Courtland Sutton and Waddle are the team's top two receivers. The third spot is up for grabs, and Bryant seems to be a top contender. "[Im] really pleased with how hes doing," Payton said of Bryant. "Hes just one of those congested ball catchers. ... Hes extremely smart. Hes doing really well. Payton insists the Broncos do not have a traditional WR1, WR2, WR3 format, but for fantasy football purposes, it's looking like Bryant could be the unofficial WR3.4. CB/PR Shaun Fresch: The former UFL star stood out early in camp with an impressive interception, but it's his potential as a returner that could be a big storyline during preseason. Fresch returned 32 punts in the UFL this spring, and he'sclearly comfortable in the role. Other returners to watch in preseason are undrafted receivers Cam Ross and Kolbe Katsis.5. CB Riley Moss: He's not giving up the CB2 job. Moss continues to play well across from Pat Surtain, so much so that 2025 first-round draft pick Jahdae Barron could be looking at another season in a rotational backup role. "He competes his tail off," Payton said of Moss. "I love that about him. ... Hes moving around really well right now.6. RB Jonah Coleman: When asked if there's been any pleasant surprises this summer, Payton name-dropped Coleman. "I think the young runner, you dont feel a rookie with Jonah," Payton said. "Hes playing." Coleman could get a big opportunity in preseason as the Broncos won't overwork J.K. Dobbins or RJ Harvey in August. Coleman seems to be an obvious favorite for RB3 duties in 2026. Denver's scheduled to practice again on Saturday before a day off on Sunday. The Broncos will have three practices next week leading up to an Aug. 14 preseason opener on the road against the Atlanta Falcons.
