Leipzig wanted to trigger the 25m release clause. The transfer is now off. Asllani will not join RB Leipzig and stay in Hoffenheim. Just a day after 19-year-old attacker Yan Diomand left RB Leipzig to go to Real Madrid, it was thought that Asllani would exit Hoffenheim to help replace the production that was headed out the door with Diomand. The situation is concerning for the young attacker, who had 11 goals and eight assists in 35 games across all competitions last season. Hopefully, this issue is not serious enough for Asllani to be concerned about his future.
