Jerzembeck, who took the loss, pitched just two-thirds of an inning and he surrendered four runs on two hits and three walks. He struck out just one.South Bend managed just four hits, all singles. He struck out five and walked two. Sam Mettert walked the bases loaded with no outs in the bottom of the seventh and then allowed a walk-off sacrifice fly. Alwoods line was no runs on one hit over two innings. He struck out five.Center fielder Caden Sorrell hit his first professional home run to lead off game two. Sorrell was 2 for 4 with a walk. He had two overall RBI and two runs scored.Third baseman Derniche Valdez continues to smack the ball around after getting glasses about five weeks ago. Tonight he hit his eighth home run of the year with a man on later in the first inning. Valdez went 3 for 5 with three RBI and three runs scored.DH Ivan Cespedes cranked a two-run home run in the third inning, his eighth on the year and third with the Pelicans.
