Commanders training camp: Laremy Tunsil exits practice with apparent injury
Commanders star left tackle Laramey Tunsil suffered an apparent injury during Saturday mornings training camp practice. The nature or extent of the ailment is unknown at this time. Per the Washington Post, and additional on-site reporters, Tunsil was impacted during a 1-on-1 rep with Washington edge rusher Odafe Oweh. Tunsil's walking off the practice field entirely now. Looks to be headed into the facility. https://t.co/H16L7nA4Y8 Tashan Reed (@tashanreed) August 8, 2026Tunsil walked into the on-field medical tent with trainers and eventually headed inside the teams training complex, presumably for further evaluation. #Commanders LT Laremy Tunsil walking off with athletic trainers after getting dinged in 1-on-1s vs. Odafe Owen. Looked like a stinger maybe. Dr. @BaldyNFL here with me concurs. Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) August 8, 2026Its important to note that Garafolos tweet does not constitute sourced reporting about the nature of Tunsils injury. Hes on-site in Ashburn, VA, on Saturday and saw the incident play out in-person. On-site reporters also said that Andrew Wylie stepped in for Tunsil at left tackle. This is a developing story that will be updated as information is learned.
