When it comes to the Carolina Panthers, there are four greats who stand out above all others. Cam Newton was the best quarterback in franchise history and their only Most Valuable Player award winner. Wide receiver Steve Smith captured the hearts of fans more than any other team legend. And the quiet giant Julius Peppers performed at a high level longer than anyone else.All that being said, the guy who played his own position better than anyone else ever did was Luke Kuechlyarguably the best off-ball linebacker of his generation.While his career was cut short due to head injuries, Kuechly was a one-of-a-kind competitor and performer.
