The Philadelphia Eagles welcomed back one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in franchise history Monday morning.Former Eagles quarterback and current Norfolk State head coach Michael Vick attended Philadelphias training camp practice at the Jefferson Health Training Complex. The visit allowed Vick to reconnect with the organization while observing Nick Siriannis team as it prepared for Saturdays preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens.Vick is entering his second season at Norfolk State after beginning his college coaching career in 2025. He spent 13 seasons playing quarterback at footballs highest level, but building a college program requires him to evaluate practices, roster development and teaching methods differently.Michael Vick authored a memorable Eagles comebackVick joined Philadelphia in 2009 after spending his first six NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. He initially served as a reserve behind Donovan McNabb before producing one of the leagues best comeback stories.Vick took control of the offense in 2010 and completed 62.6% of his passes for 3,018 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. He added 676 rushing yards and nine touchdowns while earning Pro Bowl honors and being named the AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year.His combination of arm strength and speed made the Eagles one of the NFLs most exciting teams. Vick spent five seasons in Philadelphia, passing for 9,984 yards and 57 touchdowns while adding 1,998 yards and 15 scores on the ground.Michael Vick will return to Lincoln Financial FieldMonday wont be Vicks final trip to Philadelphia this year. Norfolk State will face DeSean Jacksons Delaware State program at Lincoln Financial Field on Oct. 31. The game will be part of One Philly HBCU Week and serve as a rematch of last seasons Battle of the Legends. Jacksons Hornets defeated Vicks Spartans 27-20 in the first meeting between the former Eagles teammates as college head coaches.Vick and Jackson connected for 13 touchdowns while playing together in Philadelphia. They are now attempting to create opportunities for the next generation of players while increasing the national visibility of their HBCU programs.Mondays appearance was a reminder that Vicks relationship with Philadelphia has continued long after his final snap with the Eagles.
