A spokesperson told the outlet the plan from the start was to run one season and then evaluate, and that no cameras have rolled on anything resembling a follow-up.Six of the SECs 16 programs, including then-CFP participants Georgia and Texas, sat out the first season, leaving the show to lean on schools willing to hand over locker room and facility access. South Carolina became one of its biggest beneficiaries, with a school spokesperson telling FOS the exposure was worth the internal coordination, even while stopping short of promising a repeat commitment.Any future South Carolina commitment would presumably need sign-off from Shane Beamers wife, Emily, who learned that opening your kitchen to the internet can be almost as dangerous as opening your football program to Netflix.Whatever hesitation exists from other programs probably isnt about seeing their spouses cooking skills litigated on the internet, though that probably doesnt help. Its more about the commitment required to let a production crew spend an entire season poking around your football program. The first season required schools to open up locker rooms, facilities, coaches and players to cameras, and doing that again means asking another group of coaches and administrators to surrender some control over how their programs are presented.According to Front Office, the series landed 780th among roughly 7,700 titles in Netflixs own H2 2025 engagement report, drawing about 3 million views across its seven-episode run. That was enough to put it ahead of Season 2 of Peyton Mannings Quarterback, which finished 343rd with 5.6 million views over a comparable stretch.The SEC isnt the only conference or program getting this kind of treatment, either. Notre Dame is already multiple seasons deep into its own version of the format, Peacocks Here Come the Irish, while Paramount+ is reportedly building something similar around Texas Tech.
