NEW YORK - In four starts since returning from the injured list (elbow bone bruise), Yankees' lefty Max Fried has posted a 1.83 ERA."Feel like his stuff's been really good,'' said manager Aaron Boone. "And when Max gets it going and in rhythm, and has different weapons to get you, man, he's hard to hit.''Fried takes the mound Thursday afternoon at the Stadium, with the Yanks seeking to complete a three-game sweep of Seattle Mariners club that has dropped six straight. Even with Will Warren's three-homer, four-inning start, Yankees starters have posted a 2.10 ERA in 14 games since July 28, and the rotation is second overall among MLB staffs with a 3.45 ERA. Later on Thursday, rehabbing Yankees' lefty Carlos Rodon (elbow inflammation) is due to make a rehab start at Class AA Somerset, limited to about 55 pitches. Rodon might be ready to slot back into the Yanks' rotation by next week, though he won't be fully built up for a few more turns.
