Giants' Jaxson Dart buys into system shaped by experienced Super Bowl coaches
Jaxson Dart continues to praise the experience on the New York Giants' coaching staff, calling the group of former head coaches a clear advantage for the entire roster.I think its so cool that we have as many coaches as we do that have had head coaching experience and who have done it at such a high level and have won Super Bowls, Dart told reporters on Thursday. You get to hear their perspectives, you get to hear, obviously, their coaching each and every day. And I think that that alone gives this staff a really good edge for us as a team and I think that as players, we have all the confidence in the world in them being able to put us in the best spots to succeed.Dart said he approaches each day trying to absorb as much as possible from those voices across both sides of the ball. That same experience shows up in how offensive coordinator Matt Nagy wants the offense to operate. Dart described Nagy as aggressive in his desire to create explosive plays, yet equally focused on avoiding the mistakes that stall drives.Hes definitely aggressive. Hes definitely wanting to create explosive plays. But I think the big thing is, is he wants to always stay ahead of the sticks, Dart said. Thats the big point of emphasis that we have of any negative plays, whether it may be penalties, whether it may be loss of yardage on a run or sacks, hes really big on minimizing those things.Dart added that when the offense stays clean, Nagy gains greater control of the game and the unit finds a better flow. The coordinators openness about his own past successes and lessons has also helped the players buy into the system.Three weeks into camp, Dart views the combination of proven leadership and a clear offensive identity as one of the strongest foundations the Giants have built so far. This article originally appeared on Giants Wire: Giants' Jaxson Dart buys into system shaped by experienced Super Bowl coaches
