Fatima Sana to lead as Pakistan name Women's Asia Cup and Asian Games squads
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced its 15-member squads for the Women's Asia Cup and Asian Games, with Fatima Sana returning as captain after missing the recent Sri Lanka T20I series while playing in The Hundred, according to the ICC.She will lead both teams.Asia Cup Squad and SchedulePakistan's Asia Cup squad includes Fatima Sana, Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Momina Riasat, Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Najiha Alvi, Nashra Sundhu, Sadia Iqbal, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani and Waheeda Akhtar.Pakistan are in Group A with India, Thailand and Hong Kong-China. The tournament runs from August 28 to September 13 in Dubai. Pakistan will play Thailand on September 1, India on September 5 and Hong Kong-China on September 7. The semi-finals are on September 10 and 11, followed by the final on September 13.Asian Games SquadThe Asian Games team features Fatima Sana, Aliya Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Eman Naseer, Eyman Fatima, Gull Feroza, Humna Bilal, Momina Riasat, Muneeba Ali, Nashra Sundhu, Saira Jabeen, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Tasmia Rubab, Tuba Hassan and Umm-e-Hani.The cricket event will be held in Aichi, Japan, starting September 17. Pakistan face Thailand in the quarter-final before the semi-finals on September 20 and medal matches on September 22.Pakistan women have won Asian Games gold in 2010 and 2014 but finished fourth in 2022.
