Winning Rookie of the Year can be a great indicator of what a players career might look like. While there have been some flops, most Rookie of the Year winners go on to have successful NBA careers. Winning the award requires more than talent. A player needs an opportunity, consistent production, and, most importantly, the trust of their franchise. The 2026 NBA Draft may have been the most loaded draft class in over a decade, but only a few have the combination of talent and opportunity to emerge as favorites. Utah also has guards Keyonte George and Ace Bailey. George had an impressive season last year, while Baileys rookie year was nothing to write home about. He should get opportunities to score, facilitate, and defend the rim.
