SMU receiver Jordan Hudson enters scouting combine with Senior Bowl momentum, Justin Allen training: I can do it all
Exploding into his routes, changing direction on the fly and performing hand-eye coordination drills, Jordan Hudson honed his skills during a workout at the University of Houston.The SMU wide receiver heads to the NFL scouting combine this week to audition for NFL scouts.And Hudson, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound Garland native, does so with momentum after a good Senior Bowl performance and intense training with NFL trainer Justin Allen.Just coming out here getting to work out with Justin just a great experience getting ready for the combine, Hudson told KPRC 2. Man, just sitting my weight down, head over toes, just small details. I had a great experience at the Senior Bowl connecting.Hudson, a TCU transfer, caught 61 passes for 766 yards and six touchdowns last season for the Mustangs.Hes regarded as a rising draft prospect.Explosive, great tracking the ball, dominant in between the white lines, Hudson said. Im just an all-around guy. I can do it all.At the NFL scouting combine this week in Indianapolis, Hudson is looking forward to making a strong impression.I feel like its going to be a great experience just to allow those guys to get to know me more, to put myself on that platform, Hudson said. Just blessed and honored.At the Senior Bowl, Hudson met with all of the NFL teams. He felt like he got great feedback and enjoyed his interactions with the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and the Texans.Just liked how honest I was and how open I was with them, Hudson said. It just shows my resiliency and how much I love the game.A former Under Armour All-American, Hudson caught 195 passes for 3,234 yards and 52 touchdowns in high school.Just a great individual, the maturity that he has, hes ready to come in and lead a team and be a sponge, Allen said. Being able to line and be able to play whatever role thats asked of him and be a great locker room guy.
