Hornets sending draft pick to Heat to resolve Terry Rozier dispute
The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to send a 2026 second-round draft pick to the Miami Heat to resolve the Heat's complaint that they weren't sufficiently informed guard Terry Rozier was the subject of a gambling investigation prior to trading for him, according to multiple reports.Miami acquired Rozier in January 2024 but did not learn about the depth of the investigation until last year. Rozier is a subject in the federal gambling probe and has been on indefinite leave all season.Rozier was arrested on Oct. 23, 2025, and charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. He was accused of being part of an illegal betting scheme in which he allegedly alerted gamblers he intended to leave a game early in order to make money off a prop bet tied to his performance.
