Source: Texans signing veteran tight end Foster Moreau
The Texans plan to sign veteran tight end Foster Moreau to bolster their blocking, per a league source.Moreau, a former Las Vegas Raiders fourth-round draft pick, played for the New Orleans Saints the past three seasons under a three-year, $12 million deal.He caught seven passes for 59 yards last season in 11 games. He had no touchdowns.Moreau, 28, has caught 151 career passes for 1,772 yards and 18 touchdowns.He caught a career-high 33 passes in 2022 for Las Vegas.Two seasons ago, he caught 32 passes for 413 yards and five touchdowns.During a routine physical on a free agent visit with the Saints, Moreau was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma when team doctor John Amoss detected an enlarged lymph node on his left collarbone.After completing his treatment and going into full remission Moreau signed with New Orleans.Aaron Wilson is a Texans and NFL reporter for KPRC 2 and click2houston.com
