A Moto2 realizou neste sábado a classificação para a grande final da temporada 2025, no GP de Valência. Após uma sexta abaixo do esperado, Diogo Moreira se recuperou e terminou em 9º no quali, enquanto seu rival, Manu González, foi o quinto.

No domingo, Diogo precisa terminar no top 14 para ser campeão sem precisar contar com o resultado de González, enquanto o espanhol tem que vencer e torcer para que o brasileiro não passe da 15ª posição. Agora é segurar os nervos para amanhã!

Max Verstappen has explained why he threw a towel left in the cockpit of his Red Bull onto the side of the circuit during FP2 at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

"It's just a towel that you normally wipe your face with when you come back in," the 27-year-old explained. "It was still in the car when I went out."

He went on to detail how not removing the cloth would have been more "dangerous" and that he sought to act in the "safest way possible" when he realised the initial mistake.

"So, instead of it, of course, maybe potentially flying in between my feet, which is the dangerous part, I drove off line, and I got rid of it in the safest way possible, Verstappen said. "So I think this story is understandable."

World class grid for the FIA GT World Cup!

From 13-16 November, one of the highlight events on the motorsport calender - Macau Grand Prix will take place in its 72nd edition. Of the various classes taking part, FIA-GT3 Is one of the headliners via the eighth running of the FIA GT World Cup. The race will see 16 entries from six manufacturers and will also be the first FIA GT World Cup that will use torque sensors, joining the ACO and IMSA in competitions running the component.

Defending FIA GT World Cup race winner Maro Engel won't be returning alongside Mercedes-AMG, leaving this year's event up for grabs for any of the capable and brave drivers able to conquer Macau. Among this list who finished third last year is Team WRT's Sheldon van der Linde. Oh so close last year but could that change this weekend? He'll face tough competition from fellow BMW factory driver, Rowe Racing's Raffaele Marciello. Ferrari meanwhile has three cars, a single entry from AF Corse for Antonio Fuoco, a Winhere Motorsports entry for Deng Yi and a single car from Harmony Racing for Yifei Ye.

Porsche have the most with five entries with Tempo by Absolute Racing, Phantom Global Racing's and Schumacher CLRT all entering cars for the likes of Laurens Vanthoor, Alessio Picariello, Dorian Boccolacci, Laurin Heinrich and Ayhancan Guven. Audi meanwhile has three via Audi Sport Asia Team Phantom and Uno Racing Team, entering Christopher Haase, Joel Eriksson and Adderly Fong. Lamborghini sees two cars from Absolute Corse for Luca Engstler and Edoardo Mortara while Optimum Motorsport sees a single McLaren entry for Benjamin Goethe.

What a season finale the WRC is delivering! The FORUM8 Rally Japan 2025 was a battle of precision, slippery asphalt, and drama that redefined the fight for the world title.

Master of the Asphalt: Sébastien Ogier
French star Sébastien Ogier (Toyota Gazoo Racing) took a spectacular victory after a high-pressure weekend. Despite the rain and treacherous conditions on the narrow roads of Aichi and Gifu, Ogier demonstrated his mastery in handling the pressure.

Toyota Battle: Ogier vs. Evans
The fight for the lead was an internal Toyota duel that remained close until the end:
Sébastien Ogier and his co-driver Vincent Landais defended a slim advantage throughout the weekend.

Their teammate, Elfyn Evans, winner of the previous two editions, pushed hard and managed to cut the gap to just 2.0 seconds on Saturday, but had to settle for second place.

Drama and Key Points
Title Fight: Ogier's victory keeps the fight for the WRC Drivers' World Championship alive and a three-way battle, which will be decided at the final event of the season: the Rally Saudi Arabia.

Katsuta's Crash: Local hero Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) had a brilliant start fighting for the podium, but a crash on Saturday, which resulted in damage to his hydraulic system and more than four minutes of penalty time, ended his dream of winning on home soil .

The Podium: Adrien Fourmaux (Hyundai) finished in third place, demonstrating good pace on the challenging Japanese tarmac.

WRC2: Alejandro Cachón secured an impressive victory, his first win in the category.

WRC3: Matteo Fontana was crowned WRC3 season champion after his solid performance in Japan.

Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team’s Ott Tänak has announced his retirement from full-time rallying at the end of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) season
The Estonian’s departure comes as he decides to step away from the sport for personal reasons, with Rally Saudi Arabia marking the conclusion of two successful eras with the team
Tänak and Järveoja have taken eight victories for Hyundai Motorsport, the most recent at the 2025 edition of Acropolis Rally.

November 9, 2025 – As Ott Tänak today announces he will step down from full-time rallying at the end of the 2025 FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) season, Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team celebrates a successful partnership that has delivered one manufacturers’ title in 2020, eight victories, and 28 podiums.

The Estonian, alongside co-driver and fellow countryman Martin Järveoja, first joined Hyundai Motorsport at the start of 2020, with the partnership initially spanning three successful seasons. His first win came at his home event – Rally Estonia – where he and Järveoja led a 1-2 victory for the team. The next win was at the iconic Arctic Rally Finland in 2021, where he secured silverware on the winter snow.

Tänak departed Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team at the end of 2022 before returning for the 2024 season. Wins in Rally Italia Sardegna and Central European Rally contributed to his third-place finish in the championship.

While 2025 has been a challenging year for the Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team, as it has struggled to extract consistent performance from the Hyundai i20 N Rally1, Tänak still found success on the stages at several rounds of the 2025 WRC season, claiming six podiums and one victory (Acropolis Rally) to date.

Tänak’s participation in the WRC has never gone under the radar, with Estonian flags proudly displayed at many rounds of the championship. His popularity reflects his determination, competitiveness and skill, cementing him as one of the sport’s most revered characters.

His decision to step back comes as he chooses to dedicate more of his time to his family, business and life beyond rallying. The team thanks him for his inspirational moments and dedication to his craft. Despite the highs and lows that the WRC may produce, he has always remained committed to being one of the best.

Hyundai Motorsport will announce its full 2026 WRC line-up in due course.
