However, the season opener turned out to be a cold shower for the French team, as all three of their cars retired, but then Marcus Grönholm gave the team their first World Championship victory in almost 14 years in the Swedish rally, and he followed that up with victories in New Zealand, Finland and Australia. However, it wasn't until the season finale at the British Network Q Rally that Marcus Grönholm could call himself world champion. World class grid for the FIA GT World Cup! From 13-16 November, one of the highlight events on the motorsport calender - Macau Grand Prix will take place in its 72nd edition. Of the various classes taking part, FIA-GT3 Is one of the headliners via the eighth running of the FIA GT World Cup. The race will see 16 entries from six manufacturers and will also be the first FIA GT World Cup that will use torque sensors, joining the ACO and IMSA in competitions running the component. Defending FIA GT World Cup race winner Maro Engel won't be returning alongside Mercedes-AMG, leaving this year's event up for grabs for any of the capable and brave drivers able to conquer Macau. Among this list who finished third last year is Team WRT's Sheldon van der Linde. Oh so close last year but could that change this weekend? He'll face tough competition from fellow BMW factory driver, Rowe Racing's Raffaele Marciello. Ferrari meanwhile has three cars, a single entry from AF Corse for Antonio Fuoco, a Winhere Motorsports entry for Deng Yi and a single car from Harmony Racing for Yifei Ye.
