Tornado warning? Heres your detailed day-of weather report for tonights UFC Freedom 250 at the White House
WASHINGTON, DC - JUNE 13: A general view during the UFC Freedom 250 ceremonial weigh-in at The Ellipse on June 13, 2026 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Matt Ferris/Zuffa LLC)Its Sunday, June 14th, 2026 which means tonight the big UFC Freedom 250 event will go down on the White House lawn featuring some of mixed martial arts (MMAs) biggest stars. We could also be getting some cameos by unwanted guests like rain, lightning, or even a tornado! After months of forecast speculation, we finally have todays weather report to look at and its pretty iffy. Those who showed up for the UFC White House press conference on Friday at the Lincoln Memorial had to wait for thunderstorms to pass over Washington D.C. for the show to begin, pushing the presser until 9 p.m. ET. Saturdays fan event and ceremonial weigh-ins were smoother, providing loads of sunshine during the day and clear skies for a fireworks celebration following face-offs.Now for Sunday June 14ths weather forecast. A lot of editorializing and sensationalizing has gone into these from mainstream news sources, as a lot of people clearly want this deeply corrupt UFC event / Trumps birthday party to fail. Lets look at the raw numbers directly from the National Weather Service (compiled at 10 a.m. ET) without all the catastrophizing. Therell be a mix of sun and clouds up to 3 p.m. ET and then itll be overcast until 7 p.m. when the real risk of rain and thundershowers / lightning starts. Between 7 p.m. and midnight the risk of rain runs from 50% to 60%. Its mostly expected to be light rain, except at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. where the potential rainfall amount is classified as moderate. Wind looks like a non-factor, never going above 9mph after 8 p.m. That could change if a thunderstorm rolls right over the White House. The temperature aint bad, dropping from a high of 92 degrees at 3 p.m. down to 81 degrees by 8 p.m. By midnight itll be down to 74 degrees. Humidity will sit around 40% through the day and afternoon and then start climbing at 6 p.m to 50% and ten percent more per hour: 60% at 7 p.m., 70% at 8 p.m., and 80% at 9 p.m. From there, it will slowly creep up from 80% to 90% from 9 p.m. to midnight. As for that tornado weve seen reports about on social media? Forecasters say it has a 1-2% chance of occurring. So dont worry about that worry about the lightning, which could result in delays and fans being pushed out of the Ellipse for safety reasons. From what weve heard, any lightning within an 8-mile radius of the event will force a 30 minute freeze, and were not sure even Dana White could stop that.Well keep you updated as meteorologists get us an update on how likely thunderstorms and lightning strikes are. And of course, well also be here to share all the amazing highlights from the fights (remember the fights?!) going down in the cage tonight starting at 8 p.m. on Paramount+.

Cruise tipping charges are 'out of control,' say passengers as companies tout 'exceptional service'
Cruise passengers are getting hit with a familiar vacation surprise: the bill that keeps growing after they book.Daily gratuities, drink-package service charges, specialty dining fees and other automatic add-ons have become a flashpoint for travelers who say cruise vacations are being advertised one way, yet priced another.Frustration is said to be mounting as several cruise lines have raised their gratuity or service charges in 2026.POPULAR CRUISE LINE'S BIKINI CRACKDOWN COULD SURPRISE PASSENGERS AT ISLAND PORTSHolland America Line is the latest cruise line to change its gratuity structure. As of June 1, guests onboard Holland America ships will pay daily "crew appreciation" charges of $18 per day for non-suite stateroom guests and $20 per day for suites."Crew Appreciation is a meaningful way for guests to recognize the exceptional service and hard work our crew provides every day," a Holland America spokesperson told Fox News Digital. The company says the gratuity is automatically added to each guests onboard account.Guests who want to change the daily amount may adjust it at their discretion while onboard, the cruise line notes. In addition, an 18% service charge is automatically applied to select purchases, including beverage items, bar retail items, specialty restaurant cover charges, for-purchase la carte menu items, and spa and salon services.OUTRAGED CRUISE PASSENGERS BLAST COMPANY'S 'IDIOTIC' NEW DRESS CODE CRACKDOWNThe charges are subject to change without notice, the company says, and guests are told to contact customer service for up-to-date details before sailing.Regarding the "crew appreciation" fees, the Holland America spokesperson said that "100% goes directly to our shipboard team" and that the charge is "in line with the cruise industry competitive standards."MSC Cruises also recently updated its daily service charge."We can confirm that MSC Cruises updated its daily hotel service charge for new bookings made on or after May 11, 2026," an MSC Cruises spokesperson told Fox News Digital.CHAIR-HOGGING WARS HEAT UP AS CRUISE TRAVELERS USE SNEAKY TACTICS AMID CRACKDOWNSThe change raises the charge by $1 per person per night for standard staterooms on Caribbean and Alaska sailings, bringing the rate to $17. Guests at the MSC Yacht Club will see a higher increase, with $23 per person per night, the company said."This update supports our dedicated crew members who deliver the exceptional onboard experience our guests expect," the spokesperson said.Carnival Cruise Line also raised its gratuities earlier this spring. That brought Carnivals daily gratuities to $17 for standard staterooms and $19 for suites.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR OUR LIFESTYLE NEWSLETTERCarnival increased the price of a popular onboard package the same day.The adult price for Bottomless Bubbles went up to $11.99 per day from $9.50 per day.CLICK HERE FOR MORE LIFESTYLE STORIESA 20% service charge applies, according to the company's website."Our shipboard team members work hard to provide exceptional service," a spokesperson said. "We believe our guests will agree this slight increase is well-deserved."Carnival said guests still have some control over the charge. While gratuities are automatically added to guests shipboard accounts, the amount can be adjusted on board at the guests request, the spokesperson said.Cruise lines have long relied on automatic gratuities. But in recent years, tipping fatigue has crept in across restaurants, coffee shops and other venues, especially those that use self-checkout screens.TEST YOURSELF WITH OUR LATEST LIFESTYLE QUIZOn Reddits cruise forums earlier this year, travelers complained about extra gratuities."I honestly feel the gratuity thing is going out of control," one poster wrote.Another user responded, "Gratuity everywhere is out of control. At self-checkouts, the machine asks for a tip. For who, exactly? The only correct answer is to tap 0%.'"A third said, "I just wish they'd pay the staff decently and include that in the fare. I hate tipping culture."The debate spilled onto Facebook as well.In one Facebook group, a cruiser argued that companies should be more upfront about the full cost of a trip."I think they don't include [specific item charges] to keep advertised prices looking lower," the user wrote.
