Napoli consider move for West Ham defender Jean-Clair TodiboWest Ham United defender Jean-Clair Todibo is attracting transfer interest from Napoli, according to respected transfer journalist Gianluca DiMarzio.The Hammers signed the Frenchman two years ago for big money, but he has struggled to live up to expectations in England.West Ham do not necessarily need the funds following the big-money sales of Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes.However, Todibos inconsistent performances, and perhaps desire to play in a more prominent league, could push him out of the London Stadium.The Italian club is searching for replacements for the injured Alessandro Buongiorno. They are eyeing several options, including Tiago Gabriel, Benoit Badiashile, and Federico Gatti.However, their search has brought them to the West Ham star. The 26-year-old won 50 percent of his aerial and 68% of his ground duels last season in the Premier League.While it didnt save them from relegation, Todibo struck up a solid defensive partnership with Axel Disasi. It was better than his calamitous pairing with Max Kilman.West Ham should sell TodiboIf West Ham can recoup the majority of the funds they invested in Todibo, they should not hesitate to sanction a permanent sale this summer.He has never truly raised the level of the Hammers defence and failed to provide the stability needed to fix one of the leakiest rearguards in the Premier League.A loan deal should not even be considered.West Ham need to move on permanently and use the money generated from Todibos departure to rebuild their options.There is little value in keeping a player who has not consistently delivered and could still command a decent fee in the market.With a major defensive overhaul required, the funds from his exit could be better invested elsewhere.A sensible replacement would be Marseilles CJ Egan-Riley. West Ham were keen on the England youth international after his outstanding Championship campaign.He helped Burnley keep 26 clean sheets in 41 appearances while impressing with his dominance in duels and composure in possession.His move to France has not gone to plan. That should encourage West Ham to reignite their interest. The Hammers must consider a loan deal.

That after Johnson led the Wildcats to a 5-4 conference record last year.Klein was K-States offensive coordinator in Johnsons freshman season before taking the same role at Texas A&M for two seasons. He personally recruited the four-star dual-threat QB to Manhattan and said hes thrilled to be reunited with the 2023 MVP of the Pop-Tarts Bowl.Our relationship goes back a long way. It is incredibly special to me. I would argue that some of his best attributes are not physical. I know everyone sees how fast he is and how well he can run. Everybody sees the arm talent and the zip and spin on the football. Hes one of the best competitors Ive been around, Klein said of Johnson. He works hard at his craft, and hes a very stoic, laid-back guy. But that process is going (internally) and his motor is going hot under there even though hes very, very calm and collected on top.Klein seemingly delivered on a promise to surround Johnson with speed and talent on the perimeter in 2026, something that was lacking last year. Hawaiis Brandon White, Missouris Josh Manning and Texas A&Ms Isaiah Williams should give KSU considerably more receiving options.At running back, Joe Jackson is back after showing flashes of brilliance in 2025. When he played for K-State, and before his brief stint at A&M, Klein liked to utilize 12 personnel (two tight ends) and run the ball as much as possible. It will be interesting to see if he brings that back to Manhattan, after using a lot of spread offenses at College Station and throwing the ball all over the place. If he can cobble together a good mix, K-State should have a Big 12-caliber offense, and Klein should have the purple Cats closer to the top of the league than the bottom.This is home for me. MUMBAI: Ryan ten Doeschate has stepped down as India's men's assistant coach, bringing an end to his two-year stint with the national team, while Subhadeep Ghosh will be India's new fielding coach after T Dilip's contract came to an end and was not renewed, TOI has learnt.Ten Doeschate and Dilip's final assignment was India's white-ball tour of England. Both will, thus, not travel with Team India for their two-Test tour of Sri Lanka in August, while it will be the first international assignment for Subhadeep, who has been the fielding coach of India A teams in the past.During India's England tour, Ten Doeschate informed the BCCI of his decision to leave, despite being offered an extension until 2027 by the board. Although the BCCI was keen to retain him, the former Netherlands all-rounder declined the offer, citing personal reasons. With a young family, Ten Doeschate opted to step away from the demands of international cricket and its relentless travel schedule.Meanwhile, fielding coach T Dilip is parting ways with the national team following the completion of his tenure. The Packers can't get their kicking situation settled, and Tuesday's transactions showed that the position is still a work in progress.The Packers drafted Trey Smack out of Florida in the sixth round this spring. They also had Lucas Havrisik on their roster to compete with Smack.But the team released Havrisik on Tuesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. The Packers signed Lenny Krieg to replace Havrisik in the competition, Bill Huber of SI.com reports.Krieg tried out with the team on Monday.Krieg, who is from Berlin, Germany, took up American football after getting burned out on soccer. He learned how to kick a football by watching YouTube videos.Krieg kicked for the Stuttgart Surge in the European League of Football, which earned him an invite to the NFLs International Player Pathway program. He made all 14 attempts at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2025, the only kicker who didnt miss.Krieg spent last season on the Falcons' practice squad and signed a futures contract with the Jets after the season, but the Jets cut him in June.

Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. would like to put the 2025 season in the rearview mirror. Thomas had 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns after being drafted in the first round in 2024, but his second season halted all talk of him jumping right to the top of the list of NFL wideouts. Thomas caught less than half of the balls thrown his way and he was credited with 10 drops en route to 48 catches for 707 yards and two touchdowns. The drop in production led to trade chatter this offseason, but the Jaguars were quick to shut it down and call Thomas a big part of their plans for 2026. That talk and other doubts about his upside still found their way to Thomas and he credits a conversation with his father for putting him in the right mindset to bounce back.We heard everything that was going on, all that, but he just told me, Come out here and be undeniable, Thomas said, via Mark Lane of the Associated Press. Thats just something I live by every day. I want to be undeniable.Jakobi Meyers and Parker Washington stepped up as the team's most reliable wideouts during a 13-4 season, so Jacksonville has a full deck of options in the passing game. After dazzling in the NBA Summer League earlier this month, Chicago Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson earned high praise from Hall of Famer Charles Barkley on Tuesday.Wilson was a consensus second-team All-American selection at North Carolina, averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks while shooting 57.8% from the field. He set the freshman program records for scoring average and 20-point games (17).The 6-foot-10 Wilson was highly touted entering the draft because of his versatility, athleticism and physical traits, boasting a 7-foot, 1/4-inch wingspan. Barkley, speaking on the "Dan Patrick Show," believes the Bulls hit a home run by selecting Wilson with the fourth overall pick.I think the Chicago Bulls got the best rookie in the NBA. When I was talking to coaches and general managers, they are like, 'Who would you take with the No. 1 pick?' I said, 'Caleb Wilson.' They are like, 'What do you mean?' I said, 'I like (AJ) Dybantsa. I like (Darryn) Peterson. There was no player I would have taken before Caleb Wilson. Not one.' Peterson and Dybantsa are probably better scorers at this stage, but he can learn how to shoot.
