The conversation surrounding the Jacksonville Jaguars' linebacker room has largely centered around who will replace Devin Lloyd, who signed with the Carolina Panthers in free agency. Competition at the position has begun to unfold, and that has received the majority of the attention, but it's worth remembering that the Jaguars already have a strong, reliable linebacker on the roster who often goes overlooked. Bradley Locker ranked the top 32 linebackers in the NFL for Pro Football Focus, and Foyesade Oluokun came in at No. 15. Locker specifically noted that he tends to be overlooked and underappreciated."Oluokun still isnt a household name, but his play warrants legitimate attention. Since 2023, he ranks 10thin overall PFF grade (78.0) among qualified linebackers, taking off ever since he arrived in Jacksonville. Although Oluokun has been strong in coverage including placing fifth at the position in 2025 he could stand to augment his run defense, which has never exceeded a 73.6 grade. Perhaps leading a Jaguars defense now without Lloyd could enable him to do just that."2025 was another strong year for Oluokun, who had over 100 tackles for the sixth consecutive year; in total, he had 143 tackles (68 solo), one interception, 11 passes defensed, one sack, and two forced fumbles. He was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week in Week 1, and had a career-high in pass deflections.Liam Coen noted this offseason how Oluokun took a big step forward last year as a coverage defender as well.Locker is correct that Oluokun could still improve more against the run, but even then, he's still capable and solid. As linebackers coach Tem Lukabu pointed out, he is often taken for granted, despite remaining a consistent linebacker year after year. Odell Beckham Jr. is back where it all began with the New York Giants, and the veteran wide receiver has one objective. "Most people don't get a chance to double back, and this is a place that made me into a man, made me into who I am. I have so much love for this organization and this city. I got New York tattooed on my back, and I'm from New Orleans. All I ever wanted to do was win a championship for the New York Giants," Beckham said in a press conference at Giants training camp which is being held at The Greenbrier Resort in White Sulpher Springs, West Virginia on Wednesday afternoon. "And just having the opportunity right now, with the end goal in mind, but stack those days. That's all I want to do for this city and this organization is bring one home." Beckham, whom the Giants selected with the No. 12 pick in the 2014 NFL Draft out of LSU, was a Pro Bowler in each of his first three years in New York, averaging 96.0 receptions for 1,374.0 receiving yards and 11.7 touchdowns per season from 2014-16. The star wide receiver's 2017 campaign was cut short after four games due to a fractured ankle, with him then missing the last four games of the 2018 season due to a quad injury and being traded to the Cleveland Browns in the ensuing offseason. The Titans made a change to their linebacker group on Thursday. They announced that they have signed Dominique Hampton to the active roster. Shad Banks was waived with an injury designation in a corresponding move. Hampton was a fifth-round pick by the Commanders in 2024 and he moved from safety to linebacker as a rookie. He played six special teams snaps in his only regular season appearance with the team and spent time with the Bears this offseason. Banks signed with the Titans after going undrafted out of UTSA this April. If he clears waivers, he will revert to the team's injured reserve list.
