And now, we've watched him soar into immortality.Carolina Panthers legend Luke Kuechly was officially enshrined into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday afternoon. The former linebacker is one of five members of the 2026 classan especially esteemed group that also features former quarterback Drew Brees, former running back Roger Craig, former wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and former kicker Adam Vinatieri.The Cincinnati, Ohio native entered the NFL as a highly-decorated standout out of Boston College. Over his three-year collegiate career, Kuechly was a two-time All-American, a three-time All-ACC member and a two-time NCAA tackles leader as well as the 2011 winner of the Bronko Nagurski Award, the Lombardi Award, the Lott Trophy, the Butkus Award and the Jack Lambert Trophy.He'd go on to become the ninth overall selection of the 2012 NFL Draft, and made an immediate impact in Carolina as the 2012 AP Defensive Rookie of the Year. Kuechly then captured 2013 AP Defensive Player of the Year honors, becoming only the second player in league historywith Lawrence Taylor being the firstto win both awards in their first two seasons.As the heart and soul of the Panthers defense, along with fellow linebacker Thomas Davis, Kuechly helped lead the organization to three straight NFC South titles from 2013 to 2015. That run was punctuated by the franchise's second-ever claim to the NFC championship, and ended in a tough loss to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.With concussion concerns piling up, Kuechlyat just 28 years oldshockingly announced his retirement from the game in January of 2020. Although abbreviated, his eight-year NFL career yielded five first-team All-Pro nods, two second-team All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowl selections.Kuechly is the second-youngest inductee in the Hall's history. Cole Caufields 51-goal breakout season has changed expectations around the Montreal Canadiens winger. NHL Network analyst Mike Rupp now believes the 25-year-old has a realistic path to 60 goals.Caufield entered NHL Networks Top Wings Right Now list at No. 9 after producing 51 goals during the 2025-26 season. They do everything a little bit different.Caufields scoring threat goes beyond his release. Rupp highlighted how effectively he creates goals despite having very little room around the net.The one thing for me with Cole Caufield, its really interesting, is what he does with little real estate, Rupp said. His hands are so quick, and he can stick out. Theres so many times this past season for the Montreal Canadiens, hes off that left post, looks like hes running out of real estate.Maybe gonna go behind the net below the goal line. Its just quick little stickhandle, juking, and that puck is up under the bar in with no time and no space. He remains part of Montreals top line with Nick Suzuki and Juraj Slafkovsky, creating a strong setup around his shooting talent.When Jamison Coyle asked whether Caufield could reach 60 goals, Rupp gave a direct answer.Yes. He is a scorer, man, Rupp said. And the other part, too. Hes on one of the best lines in hockey and aint changing that. Like thats gonna stay this way. And maybe you play around with a little bit, but you got Nick Suzuki, Slafkovsky and Caufield. Look out.That combination makes 60 goals a realistic target rather than an unreasonable projection. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter gave an update on wide receiver Zay Flowers after Flowers left Saturday's practice early. Minter said, via multiple reporters, that Flowers suffered a quad contusion when he collided with defensive back Jaylinn Hawkins during the workout. Minter called Flowers day-to-day and said that he does not expect the wideout to miss a significant amount of time. The injury added to an eventful week for Flowers. He signed a four-year, $140 million extension with the team on Wednesday. The Ravens will have another padded practice on Sunday and they will host the Eagles in their first preseason game next Saturday.
