Aaron Donald's new workout clips prove he's still got it amid return speculation
While the excitement for NFL training camps is in full force following the NFL's Hall of Fame Game, there's another storyline swirling around the Los Angeles Rams, and it's not cooling off. The potential return of retired three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald has remained a possibility, fueling understandable excitement from not only Rams fans but general NFL fans as a whole.Amid the speculation of Donald's possible return to a defense that now boasts Myles Garrett thanks to a trade with the Cleveland Browns, the latest video of the 35-year-old going through a workout sent social media into a spiral. There were two clips highlighting just how much of a freakish athlete Donald is, especially considering he hasn't played since 2023.Aaron Donald shows off unreal physique and speed amid Rams return speculationIn the first clip, Donald was seen doing drills and obviously not lacking any of the speed or footwork fans saw throughout his NFL career. It was first posted by 2Tenths Speed & Agility, and Donald was reportedly working out at the Rams' facility.@AaronDonald97. Lions' Dan Campbell announces brutal injury on new $25M starting center
Lions' Dan Campbell announces brutal injury on new $25M starting center originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here. The Detroit Lions are heading into the 2026 NFL season with a bit of a new-look offensive line. After retirements, injuries, and positional changes, the projected line looks a bit different.Penei Sewell is at left tackle now, with Christian Mahogany at left guard, Cade Mays at center, Tate Ratledge at right guard, and Blake Miller at right tackle. Unfortunately, that projected starting line is not going to get a chance to play together.According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Dan Campbell announced that Mays, their $25 million new center, is going to miss a lot of time due to a wrist injury that makes their center position, for the second straight year, a major problem.Lions get awful news on Cade Mays amid significant injury"Lions center Cade Mays suffered a wrist injury that will now result in him missing what HC Dan Campbell called 'a significant' amount of time," Schefter reports. This is a massive blow for the Lions' offensive line, as Mays was meant to resolve the center issues the team dealt with last season. But now, Mays is going to miss a lot of time, and likely well into the regular season. There's no specific timeline for Mays' recovery, but this update from Campbell doesn't exactly instill any confidence that he'll be back soon.MORE:Cowboys QB Dak Prescott projected by ESPN to be behind Lions QB Jared Goff for HOF chanceIt's another brutal injury for the center position, as last year, things got so bad that the Lions tried bringing Frank Ragnow out of retirement. That didn't work, and now, due to some bad luck, Mays is also not fixing this center problem. Now, Juice Scruggs is projected to be the Lions' starting center, with Michael Niese and Seth McLaughlin as potential options as well.During the upcoming preseason games, it's going to be imperative that the Lions figure out who can be their starting center with Mays likely sidelined for a while. They could also look to free agency or a trade to improve the center position, but regardless, being in this spot after spending $25M on Mays to try to resolve this problem is a brutal situation for the Lions to find themselves in ahead of the regular season.More NFL news:Ben Johnson responds to Liam Coens pointed Caleb Williams commentESPN analyst predicts Josh Allen is already a Hall of Famer despite lack of Bills playoff successLamar Jackson is already predicted to be a Hall of Fame QB for Ravens per ESPNEagles' Jalen Hurts 'shouldn't have trouble' reaching Hall of Fame if he can continue to have playoff successPackers edge Micah Parsons already predicted to be on cusp of Hall of Fame

Panthers free agent already suffers significant blow with new team
A former Carolina Panthers fan favorite has been dealt a huge blow before the start of the 2026 regular season.Detroit Lions center Cade Mays, per head coach Dan Campbell, has sustained a wrist injury that will cause him to miss a "significant" amount of time. Mays, who spent his first four NFL seasons with the Panthers, signed a three-year, $25 million deal to join the Lions out of free agency this past spring.Mays, a standout at the University of Tennessee, was taken by the Panthers in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He'd go on to make seven starts over his first 27 outings through the 2023 campaign before being released in the summer of 2024.Following a brief offseason stint with the New York Giants, Mays returned to Carolina in October of 2024. He would make eight starts over 11 games to finish out the year.2025 saw Mays start in 13 of his 15 games, including the team's wild-card round appearance against the Los Angeles Rams.Following Mays' departure, the Panthers signed former Jacksonville Jaguars and New Orleans Saints starting center Luke Fortner to a one-year pact. They also selected Kansas State University's Sam Hecht in the fifth round of the 2026 draft.Follow@ThePanthersWireon Twitter/X for more Panthers content. This article originally appeared on Panthers Wire: Panthers free agent already suffers significant blow with new team

How to best experience a college football game at Arizona
The 2026 college football season is around the corner and anticipation is at an all-time high. Despite all the changes to the sport in recent years, traditions have never changed. Whether it is starting off the day watching ESPNs College Gameday or waking up to your teams fight song, traditions come in all shapes and sizes.Arizona is coming off a 9-4 season and it brings back Heisman hopeful redshirt senior quarterback Noah Fifita. Wildcat fans are seeing visions of a Big 12 Championship game appearance, and will have seven chances to see Team 123.To maximize your experience in Tucson, here is how to best experience a college football game at Arizona:Gameday essentialsFirst things first, make sure to buy the tickets of your liking. If you want your ideal seating it is best to buy your tickets early. Especially with the high expectations for this seasons team, tickets should be flying off the shelf.Once the tickets are secured, now it is time to prepare for the game theme. Every game this season has a theme and/or fan color coordination. To be fully prepared, here is the breakdown for every game theme/fan color coordination for the 2026 season.Whether it is a Redout, Whiteout, or a throwback game, it is always highly encouraged to take part in the themes. If all else fails, make sure to wear either red, white, or blue.A key to any game day experience is being safe, and that can come in different forms. For literal day game days, it is important to put sunscreen to combat the extreme Tucson heat. Water is also very crucial to staying properly hydrated, regardless of the game is during the day or night.Casino Del Sol Stadium is also a clear-bag stadium, so if you are wanting to bring a bag to the game make sure it is clear and within the size dimensions (12 x 6 x 12). Once you have all said items, you are ready to head over to campus and join the buzz.Tailgating optionsWhen you arrive on campus you might be feeling a bit hungry and the good news is that there are many options to choose from. Option one would be to walk down the mall and take part in tailgating.Almost every tailgating spot will have your classic burgers and hot dogs, but if you want the true Tucson experience you will need to find a spot that is serving Sonoran style hot dogs. After enjoying some food, make sure to play some cornhole or simply just throw a football around.A second option if you want to go somewhere to sit down and maybe watch some other games going on around the country is to head to University Boulevard. There you can find many options to eat such as Gentle Bens, No Anchovies, and Illegal Petes. After deciding on a place to eat before the game, it is time to start taking part in some of the traditions Arizona has.The Wildcat Walk/PregameRoughly two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff, the football team arrives on the corner of Cherry Avenue and University Avenue for the Wildcat Walk. Fans get to welcome the team and have a chance to high-five the players as they walk to the locker room inside Casino Del Sol Stadium. Not only do you get to see the team, the Pride of Arizona also welcomes the team to the stadium while performing Arizonas fight song Bear Down Arizona. Fans will also get a chance to see and take pictures with the most beloved Wildcats on campus, Wilbur and Wilma.Following the conclusion of the Wildcat Walk, there is still a good amount of time before kickoff so you can either get back to tailgating or head inside the stadium early. The ideal time to get inside would be about half an hour before kickoff.30 minutes before kickoff gives fans enough time for many different options. Around the stadium you can get some pre-game snacks or head to food truck alley which features another Tucson specialty Eegees. If no pre-game snacks are necessary, then attention should be turned to the field. At this point the team will be warming up and eventually the band will come out to perform. All the pomp and circumstance leads up to the band forming the Block A and then forming a runway for the team to run out through. In recent seasons, there are usually parachuters that fly in and land on the field to deliver the game ball before the team runs out. As the team runs out, an enormous display of fireworks shoots out and now kickoff is all that is left.In-game traditionsBefore Arizona receives a kickoff, fans are prompted to get out their keys and jingle them as the Wildcats offense is set to go on a drive. Any time Arizonas defense is primed to get a third down stop, Casino Del Sol Stadium gets as loud as it possibly can to help throw off the offense. In between the first and second quarter, the cheer team comes out with U, OF, and A signs and a stadium wide U of A chant goes around the stadium. In between game and TV timeouts there are t-shirt tosses, prize competitions, and various fan-cams.During halftime, there is always the band performance but on occasion there are other performers that join in. Other performers include local mariachi and folklrico, cheer teams, and youth football teams that put on halftime games.Heading into the fourth quarter, fireworks shoot off from the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility and a light show gets the fans going for a fourth quarter rally. There is a new tradition that has surfaced not only in Tucson but around the country.Around the start of the fourth quarter fans start to head to a corner of the stadium (usually the highest seats) where fans start waving around their t-shirts as a rally section. Last season, this tradition helped Arizona rally to beat both Kansas and Baylor.Postgame celebrationsFollowing a Wildcats win, there are many ways to celebrate. Staying on campus, the band has one final performance in front of the administration building where there is the victory bell from the USS Arizona. After the band performance, heading back to University Boulevard to celebrate with more of Wildcat Nation is always a fun option. If you want a bit more options, heading down to fourth avenue gives you a bit more of the full Tucson experience. All in all, there is no bad way to experience an Arizona game day. It all comes down to preference, timing, and having as much fun as possible.

The visit allowed Vick to reconnect with the organization while observing Nick Siriannis team as it prepared for Saturdays preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens.Vick is entering his second season at Norfolk State after beginning his college coaching career in 2025. The Spartans endured a difficult transition during his first year but were involved in seven games decided by one possession, including a 34-31 overtime victory over Virginia State.Eagles WR DeVonta Smith remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.Catching up with Michael Vick as practice gets underway. pic.twitter.com/YW9GZtRhaF Tim McManus (@Tim_McManus) August 10, 2026Mondays visit gave Vick an opportunity to watch another NFL training camp from a coachs perspective. He spent 13 seasons playing quarterback at footballs highest level, but building a college program requires him to evaluate practices, roster development and teaching methods differently.Michael Vick authored a memorable Eagles comebackVick joined Philadelphia in 2009 after spending his first six NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons. He initially served as a reserve behind Donovan McNabb before producing one of the leagues best comeback stories.Vick took control of the offense in 2010 and completed 62.6% of his passes for 3,018 yards, 21 touchdowns and six interceptions. He added 676 rushing yards and nine touchdowns while earning Pro Bowl honors and being named the AP NFL Comeback Player of the Year. His combination of arm strength and speed made the Eagles one of the NFLs most exciting teams. Vick spent five seasons in Philadelphia, passing for 9,984 yards and 57 touchdowns while adding 1,998 yards and 15 scores on the ground.Michael Vick will return to Lincoln Financial FieldMonday wont be Vicks final trip to Philadelphia this year. Norfolk State will face DeSean Jacksons Delaware State program at Lincoln Financial Field on Oct. 31. The game will be part of One Philly HBCU Week and serve as a rematch of last seasons Battle of the Legends. Jacksons Hornets defeated Vicks Spartans 27-20 in the first meeting between the former Eagles teammates as college head coaches.Vick and Jackson connected for 13 touchdowns while playing together in Philadelphia. They are now attempting to create opportunities for the next generation of players while increasing the national visibility of their HBCU programs.Mondays appearance was a reminder that Vicks relationship with Philadelphia has continued long after his final snap with the Eagles. He returned as a former player, but his focus has shifted toward becoming a better coach and building Norfolk State into a program capable of sustained success. This article originally appeared on Eagles Wire: Former Eagles QB Michael Vick visits Mondays training camp practice
