Despite allowing two or fewer runs in eight of his last nine starts, Diamondbacks (60-54) All-Star Eduardo Rodriguez got roughed up early.San Diego's big bats combined for nine hits and five runs scored, as Jackson Merrill matched Machado with a trio of knocks while adding a pair of RBI. They got the job done in a battle, Schaeffer said of the Rays bullpen. Considering he is one of the few forwards who can be relied upon to hit shots, the Heat could have struck gold with the veteran minimum deal they got for Fontecchio.Simone Fontecchio apparently passed up opportunities to stay with the HeatThe modern NBA team needs shooters around their best players to maximize the offense. In this current Heat offense, it is mostly about driving into the paint and finishing at the rim.
