Baltimore Ravens cornerback and 2024 first-round draft pick Nate Wiggins was carted off the field roughly an hour into Tuesdays practice after suffering a left leg injury. Wiggins tangled with rookie wide receiver JaKobi Lane during one-on-one drills and fell to the turf. He appeared unable to put weight on the leg as he entered the team facility. Asked about the potential seriousness of the injury, first-year head coach Jesse Minter said Wiggins was still being evaluated. "Not a whole lot," Minter responded. "I think theres optimism, but again, well look at it, well see where its at. Its one of those plays, really not much between the two guys in the play. So whether it was hitting the ground or whatever it was, well see what it looks like." Wiggins injury comes two practices after two-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Zay Flowers left Fridays session with a thigh bruise. Flowers returned to limited action Tuesday after missing Sunday's practice. Wiggins started all 17 games and had three interceptions in his second season in 2025 after the Ravens selected him 30th overall in the 2024 draft out of Clemson. He comes into the season as the starter on the left side and perhaps the teams top cornerback, even in front of four-time Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey, who has transitioned into a slightly different role. The Ravens made minimal upgrades at the position this offseason despite finishing 2025 tying for the NFLs second-worst pass defense. "I got a lot of confidence in the corner room," Minter said. "I look at Marlon probably at his best couple days the last couple times out here. (Chidobie Awuzie), I mean, this guys played a ton of football, played at a really high level. I think hes had a great camp up to this point. T.J. Tampa has done a lot of great things. Keyon Martin has done a lot of good stuff. Chandler (Rivers) has done a lot of great stuff." Minter also confirmed that quarterback Lamar Jackson and other regulars wont play during Saturday nights home preseason opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, but insisted theres still value in preseason games. "Every year that Ive been associated with the NFL, theres a guy in the first preseason game that you might not have real high expectations for, and then they go out in the game and play at a different level than maybe they practiced," Minter said. Those instincts will carry Mubama far as a striker.However, there are areas of Mubamas game that do need to improve. His hold-up play remains a work in progress, which stood out in Asia. Playing consistently in the Championship should help Mubama further develop this aspect of his game. The Championship is a physical league, but Mubama has had a taste of playing in that particular league last season. That should help him for what lies ahead and Mubama should have the opportunities to prosper playing in a Southampton side who should challenge for promotion.Divin Mubama has completed a loan move to Southampton for the 2026-27 season. Nacua is in a contract year, and he is set to become the highest-paid wide reciever in the NFL, but he may already be injured. The former captain of the club was never really appreciated as much as he should have been during his time at Anfield. Sure, Henderson wasn't an icon, he wasn't a player who could even remotely live up to the performances Steven Gerrard delivered in the same role.But there's no denying he was a great role model and someone who set the standard. He was also a player desperate to make it at Anfield.At one point in his career, he had been written off. Liverpool were ready to discard him and offload him after he hadn't really fulfilled his promise.But he refused to go and he stayed and worked hard enough to get himself back in contention. By the end of Brendan Rodgers' era he was one of Liverpool's better players and under Jurgen Klopp he became an extremely crucial cog in Liverpool's machine.Without Henderson, there probably is no success at Anfield. Henderson's energy in midfield allowed the more technical players in the team to flourish.He was the one who pressed and who made Klopp's gegenpressing system work effortlessly.Of course, he did more than that.Xabi Alonso has recognised this at Chelsea right in this very moment. As did Thomas Tuchel for England. Henderson is a great figure to have in the dressing room.He is a vocal character who creates harmony. Mo Salah and Andy Robertson have departed for pastures new.They need more authority figures and in Araujo they could find the perfect fit. After all, this is a player who has played over 200 games for Barcelona, he was their current club captain and he has that same trait that Henderson does.Araujo sets the standards in training. Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has warned the Babar Azam-led side to be prepared for tough conditions during their upcoming three-Test series against England.The first Test will begin at Headingley in Leeds on August 19. Akhtar believes England could prepare pitches that offer assistance to their seam bowlers and make things difficult for Pakistan's batters.Speaking in a recent interview with a local sports platform, as quoted by Geo News, the former right-arm pacer said England would have taken note of the mistakes made by the West Indies in their recent series against Pakistan. He expects the hosts to avoid giving Pakistan an opportunity to take control of the matches.Akhtar said England are likely to make use of conditions that help seam bowling, which could test Pakistan's batting line-up."England won't make the same mistake West Indies did that allowed Pakistan to get into a winning position.
